Resident Doctors of BC has several opportunities for you to get involved and help advocate for yourselves and for your fellow residents. Whether you commit to participate in a committee for the year, or a shorter-term commitment of working on one of the Project Teams, we need you to help us make a success of our initiatives!
We have launched a new Volunteer page where you can share with us what committee or area of interest you would like to get involved in.
This committee addresses issues pertaining to the Constitution and by-laws or Resident Doctors of BC and creates or updates polices that are directly related to the administration of the organization. If you have an interest in contributing to Health Care Policy and administration in the future, this committee is a great opportunity to learn about the ins and outs of creating policy and organizational structure that will serve you throughout your careers.
Health & Wellness Committee
This committee focuses on Resident Wellness. Whether it’s sourcing new discounts for residents, planning social events for the membership or creating entirely new wellness initiatives, your input is needed to ensure we are putting our Wellness Resources and advocacy efforts where they’ll benefit the greatest number of residents.
As the committees come up with projects and initiatives, we need residents to help us make them happen. One of our projects from last year was the trip to Victoria for Resident Awareness Week to meet with MLAs and the Ministry of Health. Depending on your areas of interest and your availability, we may have a project for you! Sign up here to be contacted first as the project teams start to open up.
