Doctors of BC Grad Dinner
Graduation from residency is a significant milestone in a physician’s life and career, and no one knows that better than you and your fellow residents. This June, Doctors of BC is once again pleased to invite graduating residents and their guests to our Resident Graduation Dinner – an annual event celebrating this momentous achievement, acknowledging this rite of passage and welcoming new graduates into the profession. The dinner will take place on Friday, June 23rd at the Sheraton Wall Centre. Celebrate with friends, family, loved ones and colleagues before you each embark upon the next chapter in your career.
CWC & Resource Stewardship Familiarity
Choosing Wisely Canada (CWC) is a new campaign that encourages physicians, patients, and policymakers to work together to reduce unnecessary tests and treatments. Medical schools across the country have modified their curricula to teach students about high-value care. To ensure Resident Doctors of BC members are up to date with this initiative, medical students Ahmad Sidiqi and Noren Khamis have prepared a survey to determine UBC medical trainees’ familiarity with resource stewardship and CWC. Participants will be entered in a draw for a $100 VISA card. The deadline to complete the survey is June 9th 2017 at 11:59pm.
