CMPA Coverage Update
Effective July 1, UBC has confirmed that CMPA fees will be reimbursed to residents on a monthly basis via their paycheck. This will show as a separate line on your paystub. For more information on CMPA coverage, click here.
A New Call Stipend System is Coming!
We have been busy working on bringing you a new and improved call stipend system that aims to provide a smoother experience, including the ability to review your submissions. This new system will be available for Block 1, 2020. Please keep an eye on your email as we approach the new academic year for updates.
Resident Spotlight is Seeking Volunteers
We’re looking for volunteers interested in being interviewed, or suggestions of fellow residents who you think will make for a great feature. If you’ve got something you want to chat about, whether it be your experience in residency, a hobby or passion, or academic pursuits, send an email to sasha@residentdoctorsbc.ca to be featured in one of our Spotlights. All our interviews are conducted over email, giving residents enough time to fit it into their busy schedules.
Paging Positivity – Resident Appreciation
Every day should be a resident appreciation day. If someone has done something nice for you, has gone out of their way to help you, or has merely been a presence you appreciate in your program or your site, why not let the world (and them!) know! Submit a note anonymously via our website to show appreciation for fellow residents.
Doctors of BC – Graduation Funding
Are you graduating this year? Congratulations! Doctors of BC is working with Program Directors to provide funding for each resident when throwing a party. Reach out to your Program Director for more information.
