Caffeinate a Resident
In partnership with Resident Doctors of BC, the UBC Medical Undergraduate Society is excited to host Caffeinate a Resident, an opportunity for medical undergraduate students to take UBC residents doctors out for coffee to pick their brains and learn a bit about their residency programs. This is an amazing opportunity for residents to show off their specialty, to help medical students learn more about their career opportunities, and to get a free cup of coffee! The MUS is especially seeking volunteers from THESE programs.
If you are interested in participating, please submit this form by Monday, October 17th. The MUS will send you an email later this fall to match you with a medical student. Contact MUS Representative Laura Kim if you have any questions.
UBC PGME Internal Reviews
UBC will be conducting internal reviews on all postgraduate residency programs with the goal of enabling positive changes that will benefit both residents and faculty. The following programs require a resident volunteer (note that reviewers cannot be from the program they are reviewing). If you are interested, please email us.
– Ophthalmology: Nov 15th, afternoon
– Plastic Surgery: Nov 24th, 1pm
– Rheumatology: Dec 7th, 1pm
– Respirology: Jan 30th, 2017, 8am
– Medical Microbiology: Mar 9th, 2017, morning
