In 1983 the Medical Services Commission implemented regionalized billing numbers: (a geographic delineation of payment numbers) in an attempt to solve the problem of over-supply and under-supply of physicians in certain regions of BC. Resident Doctors of BC (PARI-BC at the time) successfully challenged this in court, and the restrictions were lifted in 1995.
Resident Doctors of BC is working to produce a new website which will be launched in June.
