DofBC Changemaker Awards
Do you know a medical student or resident who is leading change in health care through grassroots advocacy efforts? Nominate them for Doctors of BC’s third annual Changemaker award! Winners are presented with a $1,000 cheque and an engraved plaque at the Awards Ceremony, which will take place at Doctors of BC’s Annual General Meeting, June 3, 2017. Winners will also be featured in the BC Medical Journal and on the Doctors of BC website. Submit your nominations before April 7, 2017 – detailed information and nomination forms can be found at www.doctorsofbc.ca/changemaker.
UBC is conducting internal reviews on all postgraduate residency programs with the goal of enabling positive changes that will benefit both residents and faculty. The following programs require a resident volunteer (note that reviewers cannot be from the program they are reviewing). If you are interested, please email us.
– Medical Genetics: Apr 12, 2017, afternoon
– Adult Hematology: May 29, 2017, afternoon
– Family Medicine: Sep 21 & 22, two full days (senior resident preferred)
When can residents start maternity leave?
