KelownaResident Awareness Week

We had a great week in BC celebrating residents. This week we launched our second edition of Humans of Residency.
A new infographic for this year was also released
A new transit ad was put on skytrains.
There were hospital booths throughout the week across the province.
The week was proclaimed in the Legislature.
MP John Aldag made a statement in the House of Commons.
Residents met with Katrine Conroy, Judy Darcy, Doug Donaldson, Sue Hammel, Linda Larson, Leonard Krog and Jennifer Rice and got a selfie with the Minister of Health while grabbing a coffee.
There were a number of media articles including in the PGME News, BCMJ Huffington Post and Vancouver Sun and an ad in the Metro newspaper. There was also an interview on CBC radio. Many of the Health authorities supported Resident Awareness Week in their communications.
Social Media had a large part in raising awareness this year, with regular posts on Facebook, and hourly tweets on Twitter.
All of this could not have been possible without the participation of residents, and there is still time to get in some points in the participation contest, it closes at 11 pm tonight.
