The Great Hatch
“The Great Hatch” is an ambitious, weekend-long medical innovation event being held March 3rd to 5th, that will bring together around 100 participants and 30 mentors, all from engineering, healthcare and design, to build solutions to healthcare problems faced locally. These solutions include both hardware and software prototypes. Residents will have the opportunity to pitch a healthcare challenge they’ve noticed in their education, and then collaborate with engineers and designers to create a prototype over the weekend. The application deadline is February 10th.
For the month of February, UBC is hosting 3 Seminar Series on transition to practice topics. The seminars are offered in person, via WebEx/VC anywhere technology as well as select video-conference rooms in Prince George, Fort St. John, Victoria, Nanaimo, Kamloops, and Kelowna.
