HEABC: Request for Volunteers in Session on Physician Compensation
HEABC has reached out to us requesting 30 volunteers to take part in a session on Physician Compensation. Our Volunteers will be hosted by HEABC and joined by a representative of the Ministry of Health for a respectful, open discussion regarding existing and potential future models of Physician Compensation. Rural Education Action Plan: Specialty Training Bursary
REAP offers a Specialty Training Bursary to medical specialty residents enrolled in a Canadian Specialty Training Program. Applicants must be in their final two years of residency and have been accepted to a position by a specialty department of a hospital in an RSA community in British Columbia once they have completed their residency program. The bursary is $25,000/year to a maximum of two years. For more info, you can email the REAP office at reap@familymed.ubc.ca. Deadline to apply is June 29, 2018.
Did you Know?
If you are on a distributed rotation, you are not required to “make up” call when you return, as you were away from service during your distributed training.
