Residency: Working on Voting Day

Hey, residents!

The Canadian federal election period is now in full swing. If you are working on voting day,  you are legally eligible for three consecutive hours to vote in the federal election. The employer is mandated to allow you to arrive late, to leave early, or to take time off during your work period to vote.

To see if you are eligible to vote, and how to vote in the federal election, visit Elections Canada.
