Wellness Resources
Are you familiar with wellness resources available to residents? From an actual wellness resource hub to counselling for yourself and your family, there are organizations where residents are able to access free resources. Doctors of BC Physician Health Program and VCH Employee and Family Assistance Program both offer counselling, a 24/7 hotline, and more. For a full list of organizations and resources for resident wellness, visit our website.
REAP Specialty Training Bursary Program
The Specialty Training Bursary Program provides funding to rurally-bound medical specialty residents or rural physicians who are completing focused postgraduate training that will lead to certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. A one-year return of service requirement is attached to each year of funding received. Preference will be given to specialties identified as being “in need” in rural communities in BC.
