2021 Resident Innovation Fund Recipients
We are pleased to announce that the 2021 Resident Innovation Fund has been administered in partnership with the Ministry of Health, who, in recognition of the innovative spirit presented by our residents, agreed to increase the awards to a total of $40,000. The funds were awarded by the Resident Doctors of BC Awards Selection Committee and the Ministry of Health to invest in resident projects. We are excited to announce the 10 recipients and their teams. Thank you to all our applicants, and congratulations to the recipients!
2021 Awards of Excellence
The annual Awards of Excellence recognize members of the healthcare community for their contributions to creating an optimal training environment for residents in BC. There were a number of exceptional candidates this year, and we thank everyone for their valuable efforts. The recipients of the year’s awards are as follows: Dr. Danny Mansour (Dermatology, PGY-4 – Award of Merit), Dr. Lindsay Bishop (Clinical Instructor, Surrey Memorial Hospital and Surrey Older Adult Community Mental Health Team – Dr. Patricia Clugston Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching), and Dr. Rahel Zewude (Internal Medicine, PGY-3 – Residents’ Advocate Award).
