Family Medicine – Nanaimo PYOS Recap

The Family Medicine – Nanaimo residents got together to host a Plan Your Own Social. Here is what they had to say:

“We used the RDBC funding to have a white elephant gift exchange at our holiday celebration. Unfortunately, due to COVID concerns, many people decided just before the event not to attend in person, both to keep our social numbers small and to limit contacts prior to seeing their family members over the holidays. We provided electronic gift cards to those who were unable to take part in the physical gift exchange. The RDBC contribution was really appreciated by all residents involved, as a fun way to get and give gifts at a stressful time, and it allowed those whose risk calculations prevented them from attending in person to still be part of the social event and resident community.

We also used some of the funding to cover some food in addition to what was covered by other funding sources.”
