Hospital Awareness Booths
Resident Doctors of BC, and a number of volunteers held awareness booths at BC Women’s, Royal Columbian, Surrey Memorial, St. Paul’s, and Vancouver General Hospital. Residents engaged a number of allied health staff and patients at the hospitals providing information on the role of residents.
Public Awareness Booths
Resident Doctors of BC, and a number of volunteers held booths at public spaces in the evening to engage the public and provide information on the role of residents in health care. We also handed out information on hand washing, as part of the Do Bugs Need Drugs campaign.
Booths were held during Resident Awareness Week at Canada Games Pool, Newton Pool, Vancouver Aquatic Centre and West Vancouver Aquatic Centre.
Proclamation
Resident Awareness Week was proclaimed in the BC legislature as the week of February 16 – 20 2015.
