The Scheduling Committee includes the Employer, representatives from each Health Authority and the PGME. Their purpose is to address issues of non-compliance with the Collective Agreement (submitting schedules, 80 hours limit, vacation denials etc.) and administering the excess call fund. The Excess call fund is a separate call fund to compensate residents who are made to work shifts in excess of the Collective Agreement limit. The committee manages these funds to ensure systemic overages are addressed by the appropriate Health Authority and program. This committee is also responsible for the new shift work pilot, enabling shift premiums for residents working overnight but not a call shift. Application form can be found here.
