Plan Your Own Social

Family Medicine Kamloops Residents- Plan Your Own Social Recap

Our Family Medicine Kamloops Residents recently got together to host a Plan Your Own Social. Here is what they had to say:

"The weather report ended up being a little dire the day of the event planned to be outside, so we pivoted to having a pizza lunch altogether and brainstormed other ideas for the afternoon. However, the weather started improving just enough that we were able to go out for a few hours of pickleball and enjoy some of the snacks I picked up at Costco for the event. We got rained out around 5:30 pm, though, at which point we pivoted again to instead of going to the Noble Pig to go to Red Collar and order a ton of Korean fried chicken to share amongst all of us. This went great, and at Red Collar, we brainstormed some more to use the little remaining funding to mildly subsidize a whitewater rafting expedition in Clearwater the next day for 16 of us that could go (we knew we only had about $150 worth of funding remaining).

All in all, despite the poor weather forecast, it turned out to be a really excellent event. It is difficult planning in advance for something that is weather-dependent, but I’m glad we were all able to discuss the plans together to use the funding to do something that was fun for all of us! We had a blast!"
