Overview: Tropical and Geographic Medicine Essentials is designed for physicians, nurses, pharmacists, public health practitioners, and other clinicians who require up-to-date knowledge of infectious, parasitic, and other major tropical diseases relevant to global and travel medicine practice.
Key Topics
The course covers three core areas: Clinical Tropical Medicine, Migrant and Refugee Health, and Tropical and Travel Medicine Immunization.

Fever in the returning traveller
Diarrhea in the returning traveller
Screening and treating refugees for parasitic infections
Tropical eye diseases
Tropical dermatology
Tropical medicine vaccine updates

Clinical vignettes
Course Goals
Through interactive lectures and small-group sessions, participants will:
Gain practical, evidence-based approaches for diagnosing and managing common tropical and travel-related illnesses.
Strengthen their ability to assess and treat refugees and returning travellers through improved recognition of high-risk presentations and appropriate screening strategies.
Build confidence in applying tropical medicine principles to practice via case discussions, clinical algorithms, and focused updates.
