CONTEST DETAILS: As part of our public outreach advocacy efforts during Resident Awareness Week (Feb 6 to 10, 2017), we will be setting up “awareness” booths at community centers in order to share information about residents with our local communities. This year, we are looking to create an educational colouring page for children about who resident doctors are. Who better to design these than residents themselves? So break out the pens and draw your representation of a resident doctor. Questions? Email firstname.lastname@example.org.
The results are clear, Anesthesiology has won the participation contest, and will receive an extra Plan Your Own Social this year.
For our Residency 101 Contest, we asked you to share advice for those starting residency, and to share any questions you might have for your fellow residents to answer. Your enthusiasm and responses were wonderful, and we have two winners to announce. The Current Resident prize goes to Dr. Petra Dolman, Family Medicine Resident at the Prince George Site. The Incoming Resident prize is awarded to Dr. Simona Spassova. Congratulations to both, and our thanks to all who participated. Please keep the great energy and information coming!
